• Verifies against the site geofence - if they're not within range, the check-in is flagged (not blocked - we trust your team, but we note discrepancies)
• Records the timestamp with timezone handling for multi-region operations
• Associates the check-in with the correct site, schedule, and client
• Starts the visit timer for time-on-site tracking
• Queues the notification so clients on real-time alerts know your team has arrived
