Assigning Checklists to Sites
How checklists attach to sites and jobs
Once you've created a checklist template, you attach it so the right list shows up at check-in time.
One Default Checklist per Site
Each site has a single Checklist Template assigned to it. That's the checklist field staff see when they check in (or do a Quick Check-In) at that site.
To assign or change a site's checklist:
- Go to Sites and open the site
- In the site details panel, set Checklist Template to the template you want
- Save
If a site has no checklist template assigned, the visit just records check-in/out, photos, and notes - it skips the checklist step.
Service Types Can Carry Their Own Checklist
If you use Service Types (e.g., "Window cleaning", "Floor wax"), each service type can have its own default checklist. When you create a job and link it to a service type, the service type's checklist takes precedence over the site's default for that visit.
That gives you flexibility for sites that get more than one kind of service: the checklist follows the *job*, not the *site*.
See Service Types for details.
Removing a Checklist Assignment
To remove a site's default checklist:
- Open the site
- Set Checklist Template to *None*
- Save
This doesn't delete the template or any past visit data. It just means the site no longer has a default checklist.
Tips
- Set a site's default checklist before scheduling jobs there
- For sites with mixed services, set up service types with their own checklists rather than swapping the site's default
- Reviewing assignments periodically keeps your checklists matched to what your team is actually doing
