Managing Site Status
Archive, deactivate, or reactivate sites
Sites in provvio can have different statuses to help you organize your business and stay within plan limits.
Site Status Options
Active: The default status for sites in regular use
- Site appears in all lists and mobile app
- Team can check in and complete visits
- Counts towards your plan's site limit
Inactive: Temporarily disable a site
- Site is hidden from mobile app check-in lists
- Still appears in dashboard (can be archived)
- Still counts towards your plan's site limit
- Useful for seasonal sites or temporary suspensions
Archived: Permanently remove from active use
- Site is hidden from mobile app and most dashboard views
- Does not count towards your plan's site limit
- Visit history is preserved
- Cannot be checked into anymore
- Perfect for ended contracts or closed locations
How to Change Site Status
- Go to Sites in the sidebar
- Open the site you want to modify
- Click the status dropdown (shows current status)
- Select the new status
- Confirm the change
When to Archive Sites
Archive sites when:
- A client contract has ended permanently
- A location has closed or moved
- You need to free up site slots on your current plan
- You want to clean up your site list without losing visit history
Viewing Archived Sites
By default, archived sites are hidden from your sites list. To see them:
- Go to Sites
- Use the filter options
- Toggle Include Archived on
Tips
- Archive sites instead of deleting them: you'll preserve all visit history and reports
- Use archived status for sites no longer in active service
- Archiving is the best way to stay within your plan limits while keeping historical data
