Portal Access Management

Enable, disable, and reset portal passwords

Note: The client portal is available on the Business plan.

You have full control over who can access the client portal and when.

Disabling Portal Access for a Client

If you need to disable the portal for an entire client:

  1. Go to Clients
  2. Find the client and toggle Portal Access off

Clients will no longer be able to access the portal for that client. No data is deleted, you can re-enable access later.

Disabling Portal Access for a Contact

If you need to revoke a specific person's access:

  1. Go to Clients and open the client
  2. Edit the contact
  3. Toggle Portal Access off

Resetting a Portal Password

If a client contact has forgotten their password:

  • The client can use the Forgot Password link on the portal login page.
  • Admins can also set a new password: edit the contact and use Set New Portal Password.

Removing Portal Access Completely

To completely remove a contact's portal access:

  1. Disable their portal access (as described above), or
  2. Remove them from the client's contacts entirely

Tips

  • Review portal access periodically: remove access for contacts who have left the client's company
  • If a client relationship ends, disable all portal access for that client's contacts
  • Resetting passwords is quick and easy: encourage clients to use it rather than sharing passwords
