Download and set up the provvio mobile app

The provvio mobile app is the best way for your field team to check in, complete checklists, and take photos on-site.

Setting Up

  1. Open the app after installing
  2. Tap Sign In
  3. Enter your email and password (the same credentials you use on the web)
  4. You're in!

Permissions

The app asks for a few permissions on first run:

  • Location: required for GPS check-in/out. Allow location while using the app. On iOS you'll also be asked for Precise vs Approximate location - choose Precise so your check-ins line up with the site's geofence.
  • Camera: required for taking photos during visits.
  • Notifications: recommended for job reminders and acceptance prompts.

Important: Without location access, GPS verification can't work and the app will block check-in.

Staying Logged In

The app keeps you signed in so you don't enter your password every time. Credentials are stored in the device's secure keychain. If you're logged out:

  • Check you have an internet connection
  • Try signing in again
  • If you've forgotten your password, ask your admin to send a reset link

Tips

  • Keep the app updated for the latest features and bug fixes
  • Enable notifications so you don't miss job assignments or acceptance prompts
  • On iOS, set location to Precise for the most accurate check-ins
