What admins can and can't do from the app

The mobile app isn't just for field work - Owners, Managers, and Billing Admins can take care of a few day-to-day admin tasks on the go. The full set of dashboard features still lives on the web.

Inline Client and Site Creation (Quick Check-In)

If you arrive at a site that doesn't exist yet in provvio:

  1. Open Quick Check-In
  2. If the client isn't there, tap New Client and fill in the basics
  3. If the site isn't there, tap New Site - the app pre-fills the address from your GPS location
  4. Continue with check-in

This is the fastest way to log a visit at a new location without losing momentum.

Profile Tab (All Roles)

The Profile tab handles personal account settings:

  • Profile photo
  • Change password
  • Availability schedule (which days/times you're available - feeds into scheduling visibility)
  • Pending team invites you've sent or received
  • Notification preferences
  • Sign out

Manage Tab (Owners, Managers, Billing Admins)

The Manage tab gives admin-style shortcuts on mobile - for example creating a new client. The exact set of tools shown there matches your role.

What's Web-Only

Some tasks are best done on the web dashboard, and aren't available on mobile:

  • Creating and editing checklist templates
  • Configuring report templates and branding
  • Subscription billing and seat management
  • Client portal setup and invites
  • Team member management (full team view, role changes, removals)
  • Org-wide visit reports, analytics, and the compliance audit trail

The History tab on mobile shows your own visits only.

Tips

  • Use the mobile app for visits, ad-hoc client/site creation, and personal admin
  • Use the web dashboard for setup, configuration, and org-wide reporting
  • Web and mobile stay in sync - changes show up on the other almost immediately
