Using the Mobile App

Tabs, the visit flow, and day-to-day actions

The mobile app is built for field workers - fast, simple, focused on what you need on-site.

The Tab Bar

Across the bottom of the app:

  • Today's Jobs - the home screen, showing the work you've got today
  • History - your past visits
  • Manage - admin shortcuts (visible to Owners, Managers, and Billing Admins only)
  • Profile - your account, availability, password, and notifications

Today's Jobs (Home)

Today's Jobs is split into sections that change with your organisation's settings:

  • Pending - jobs waiting for you to Accept (only when *Require Job Acceptance* is on)
  • Accepted / Today - the jobs you're working through
  • Completed - what you've already wrapped up today

There's also a Quick Check-In entry point for ad-hoc visits that aren't on the schedule.

The Visit Flow

When you start a job (scheduled or Quick Check-In), the app walks you through the steps it needs:

  1. GPS check-in - capture location and arrival time
  2. Before photos - if the site or job requires them
  3. Checklist - mark items, add photos and notes, capture before/after pairs where required
  4. After photos
  5. Signature - if requested
  6. Review - last look before check-out
  7. Check-out - capture departure GPS and time, finalise the report

Steps you don't need (e.g. no required before photos) are skipped automatically.

Job Acceptance

If your organisation requires job acceptance, scheduled jobs land in Pending until you tap Accept (or Accept All to take the whole day at once). You can't check in to a pending job. See Job Acceptance.

Photos and Categories

The app captures photos in three places: per-checklist-item, before/after pairs on items, and general visit photos categorised as Before / During / After. See Taking Photos.

Quick Check-In

Tap Quick Check-In for an unscheduled visit:

  1. Pick (or create inline) a client
  2. Pick (or create inline) a site - the app can pre-fill the address from your current GPS location
  3. Tap Check In

Tips

  • Pull down on any list to refresh
  • Tap-and-hold on a photo to preview it before submitting
  • The app keeps everything local first, so you don't lose progress mid-visit
