Taking Photos

Photo evidence during visits

Photos are a key part of proof-of-service. They provide visual evidence that work was completed and give your clients confidence in your service quality.

When to Take Photos

  • Required photos: Some checklist items require a photo before they can be marked complete
  • Optional photos: You can add photos to any checklist item for extra documentation
  • Before/after photos: Take photos before and after your work to show the difference

How to Take Photos

From a checklist item:

  1. Tap the checklist item
  2. Tap Add Photo or the camera icon
  3. Take a photo using your device's camera
  4. The photo is automatically attached to that item

From the visit:

  1. While checked in, tap the camera icon in the toolbar
  2. Take a photo
  3. The photo is added to the general visit record

Photo Quality Tips

  • Make sure the area is well-lit
  • Hold your phone steady
  • Capture the full area, not just a close-up
  • Take before and after photos where relevant
  • Include any identifying features (room numbers, signs) in the frame

Where Photos Appear

Photos you take during a visit appear in:

  • The visit report on the dashboard
  • PDF reports sent to clients
  • The client portal (if enabled)

Storage

All photos are securely stored in the cloud and linked to the visit record. They are available for as long as your account is active.

Tips

  • Get into the habit of photographing completed work: clients love visual proof
  • If an item was already clean or in good condition, photograph it anyway as evidence
  • Photos are timestamped and GPS-tagged automatically
