Job Acceptance
Require field staff to accept jobs before checking in
Job acceptance is an optional org setting. When it's on, field workers must explicitly Accept each job before they can check in. It gives admins confirmation that the day's work has been seen and committed to.
Turning It On
- Go to Settings → General
- Toggle Require workers to accept jobs on
- Save
The change applies to all future scheduled jobs, immediately.
What Field Staff See
On Today's Jobs in the mobile app, scheduled jobs land in a Pending section. Each pending job has an Accept button, plus there's an Accept All action at the top to take the whole day in one tap.
Once accepted, jobs move into Today / Accepted and the Check In button becomes available.
What Admins See
Pending jobs are visible on the dashboard schedule and in visit lists. You can:
- See who hasn't accepted yet
- Reassign or cancel a job that's been ignored
- Spot a pattern early if a worker frequently leaves jobs pending
When to Use It
- Crews where you want explicit commitment before the day starts
- Larger teams where it's hard to track who's seen what
- Subcontractor relationships where acceptance is contractually meaningful
When to Leave It Off
- Small, tight crews where all jobs are obviously assigned and accepted
- Workflows where acceptance friction would slow the team down
Tips
- Pair acceptance with push notifications so workers get pinged when a new job lands as pending
- If a worker forgets to accept, they'll be reminded as soon as they tap Check In
